We tried switching service books on a couple devices, but not all services work. Anyone else try this already? Greetings from AZ.

They said on facebook that if you have a flashed blackberry they recommend you switch it to the new Blackberry plan, but they can only guaranteed talk and text.

I have a verizon blackberry storm 2 on page plus, and due to the BB ban, all I can get is talk and txt. Would be interested to see if anyone can get all the services by flashing to cricket.

To my knowledge cricket's agreement with balckberry was to only support talk and text now that cricket carries the 8530. I have seen one instance where a Verizon 8530 worked fully but my buddy was already on a 60$ rate plan but as of yesterday it quit working

huh?? They are supporting BIS with an actual cricket phone as far as I know. Maybe you meant for NON cricket phones.. maybe RIM figures they'd sell more if they didnt allow flashed phones on crickets network..

About a year ago, I moved out of a cricket service area so I took my flashed blackberry 8330 out of service. Now I find myself back in an area served by cricket. A quick check of the phone, indicates that it can still do all of its previous features talk, text, connect to the internet, and various applications. Just no blackberry services. A call to customer service was very unsuccessful. Has anyone had luck getting a flashed blackberry on the new plan and succeeding in getting blackberry services working on an older blackberry model like the 8330? If so, what tactics did you use, both with customer service and with the phone itself.

i got a sprint blackberry 8530 with app world and everything except email havent played with it i wil post a bref video soon of it

i have a bb 9630 i got everything working on mine expect for third party app, bbm, and emails , i am on the $45 dollar plan , would it make any sence to upgrade to the $60 plan??

If someone wanted to upload the new service books that would be fun!) I cannot send my customers to the corporate stores anymore with blackberrys to activate (I sell the phones but not the service). The folks at the corporate store now all of the sudden give the customers a hard time if the come in with a flashed blackberry now that the 8530 is on the shelves. They wouldnt even put them on the $45 plan. Weak Sauce...

If anyone has a Cricket BB, they should post up their QPST or QXDM info here. It should theoretically be possible. It might have something to do with registering the PIN (IMEID) with BIS. $279 is a lot to spend on a phone that can be purchased on CraigsList for around $100.

The QXDM info is posted in another thread dedicated to a tutorial on how to flash Blacberries to cricket.
The problem with adding the BlackBerry to cricket and having full BB service is cricKet or RIM will not accept and register the PIN on the system.
It is extensive for what would need to be done to do so, and highly doubtful that cricket would go to the trouble when they have a Blackberry they are trying to push sales on.
