There are many women who hate that their husband/boyfriend watch porn. I will give my opinion on it and would love to hear from all you guys and gals. First I think that women completely overreact and go to the extreme when they find that their husband/boyfriend watches porn. It creates a feeling of insecurity, low self esteem, and low self worth sexually. In the end women conclude that the relationship is in trouble, council is needed, or the relationship will be over. I get that. However, I think the reason for this adverse and unreasonable reaction is women do not understand men and the behavior of watching porn. Keep in mind that the majority of men that watch porn only seek to be understood and not harshly judged. For the average porn watcher it started several years ago, and probably decades ago as a child. Yes, as a child. Boys grow up and are exposed to different things than girls. This is one of those things. So as a boy grows no one told him anything was wrong with watching sex on television or computer. So as the boy grows so does his habit of watching porn along with other habits in life. Now the boy becomes a man and all of a sudden he meets a nice lady who insists that porn is wrong and because he watches it he is sick in the head.
Let’s be realistic about a few things. First, the habit of watching porn is usually labeled an addiction by women who oppose. Think of any addictive substance, whether it be nicotine, drugs, alcohol, soda, fast food, red meat, chocolate, ice cream…etc. You get the point. If you label the porn watcher an addict then you must understand how breaking an addictive habit can be. You also must understand that just by getting offended and mad does not help break any addictive habit. Usually it takes a very long time to break an addictive habit. Coupled with the fact that this porn watcher has been watching porn for several decades. Any addictive habit that has formed over decades very well may take decades to break. The point is that if women would look at this porn issue as something that will not correct itself over night then relationships and conversations about this issue would be more positive. Do not just jump to the conclusion that a person should change what they do just because you think something is wrong with it, when the truth is no crime is being committed. I know that you now want to say that porn watchers a passive supporters of the injustices that happen in the porn industry as far as young women and health, etc… Well, research your history of the diamond earrings that you wear or the nice ring that your husband/boyfriend bought you. People died over that diamond. In your same logic you are an accessory to the killings that occur over that diamond. Now is that a fair thing to say? I think not.
