Can viruses be transferred from an sd card(from my bb8320) to a smartphone(like my samsung galaxy??)?

i always download songs and pictures on my old blackberry(8320) and now i bought a brandnew androidphone(samsung galaxy y) and i want to put my sd card to my new phone but im a little bit concern a bout my new phone getting virus or may cause some problem to my new phone.....pls help and advice please
by the way i've never plug my sd card slot on my computer which i can say i have alot of virus ))
can other device..
