Why can't I be me
Show others compassion,
Give others my sympathy.Â*

Why can't I let people see
The love I carry inside,
The fear I try to hide.Â*

Why can't I let them hear
How much I really care,
How sad I am without them there.Â*

Why can't I see
Not being myself
Hurts more than just me.Â*
