The War is won with a single battle
our troops are sent over like cattle
The Price of war is very steep

Politicians usually have much to say
No sign of them near here this day.
They hide away and out of danger,
Much easier if the hero is a stranger. (EXTRACT FROM POEM AFGHANISTAN REPATRIATION)
if you could find any poetic devices i know that the one about cattle is a simile reffering to the soldiers as cattle like in a slaughter house and just stand there and cant do anythign about it.
is that the only poetic device used?
