can u block someone off facebook chat?

this is a bit of a tricky one, my dad is from algeria and i live in england, one of my cousines from over there has added me on facebook and keeps chatting to me everytime im online! the problem isw he is sooo annoying and i dont want to be rude and just not respnd to him. i dont want to delete him as i dont want to upset the family but i cant stand it nemore and dont want to have to keep appearing offline which means i cant chat to my other friends... arghhhhhh annoying!!! ne iseas????

just tell him you are not interested because in Britain we do not allow cousins to become close friends.( he wants to come here and we do not have any more room.)
