1. A man is moving his car towards Park Lane. He knows that when he gets there, he will be bankrupt, yet he also knows that he cannot stop. What is going on?
2. A man is heading towards a field. He knows that when he gets there, he will die, but he cannot stop. The field is empty; a bit of grass, maybe a few buttercups, nothing else. What is going on?
3. What runs but never walks,
has a mouth but never talks,
has a head but never weeps,
has a bed but never sleeps?
4. When I am alive I do not speak.
Anyone who wants to takes me captive and cuts off my head.
They bite my bare body
I do no harm to anyone unless they cut me first.
Then I soon make them cry.
5. I talk, but I do not speak my mind
I hear words, but I do not listen to thoughts
When I wake, all see me
When I sleep, all hear me
Many heads are on my shoulders
Many hands are at my feet
The strongest steel cannot break my visage
But the softest whisper can destroy me
6. What is yours but your friend uses more than you do?
7. There were two cats, 1 2 3 cat and un deux trois cat, they had a swimming race from England to France. Who won?
8. Two men go to work with a net and a fork. One of them is killed by the other. Why?
9. Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes.
Finally, she hangs him.
But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together.
How can this be?
10. This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it? It looks so plain you would think nothing was wrong with it! In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is unusual though. Study it, and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out! Try to do so without any coaching!
