I have been working on a simple generator for an emergency power source and for camping! I have a 2000 watt inverter hooked to a pair of marine batteries with a lawn mower engine driving a chevy alternator to charge them. I can use about 25% of the inverters capacity and the alternator can't seem to keep up. I wanted to add another to share the load and be able to keep up with at least 75% of the inverters capacity. is this possible with two alternators that are internally regulated? If not, what kind of reaction would I get from that kind of setup?
