hurt socially? I’m a 21 yr. old guy who has been going to his local community college for the past two years. I was supposed to transfer out this upcoming fall semester to Eastern Illinois University (you know, away from family, having a dorm, setting out on my own, etc.) I was really looking forward to this but unfortunately I had to have surgery so I will have to transfer out in the spring when I’m all recovered, thus I still have one more semester at the boring community college. My biggest worry/fear is that when I do transfer out everyone will already be used to the place since they already have one semester under their belt and I’ll feel like the odd man out. I plan on getting involved in a number of campus organizations and all that and I think I’m a pretty sociable person but I just worry sometimes that everyone will be set in their ways come spring. Probably sounds weird but that’s what I think. I’d rather go in the fall when more people are “new”, I don’t want to feel like the one “new” guy. Any help or advice? Thank you.
