Can They Break Me A way From MY Child Help......?

I got married with my 2nd husband 6 mo ago and he died war in Afghanistan 2 mo ago. The problem I’m facing now is that: when I married him he had a 4 mo old baby boy who his mom died when she gave birth to him. I love this little boy as much as I love my 4 year old son and he calls me mom ‘cause I’m his mom and he is my baby. Now my son’s family from both sides want to take him way from me ‘cause I’m not his biological mom. I adopted him when I married my husband but will the court take him a way from me just ‘cause I didn’t give birth to him. I think a mother is one who rises the child not give birth to. By the way my husband didn’t leave money beside his life insurance which I got it. I want rise both my boys and I don’t think they want live separate. Finically I could offer to do that I live in 5 bedroom home which is almost paid off and make about 70K a year. Oh I do let the grandparents see my child in fact I do take him there every weekend.
