blame the ump all you want. but if you cant score with the bases loaded and no one out, its your own fault.

the twins had a buttload of chances to win this game. nathan could have closed this game out but didnt. the baserunning screwup by gomez couldve been important for the twins in the later innings.

i do admit that the ump got the call wrong. but the whole entire game didnt depend on that one call. strange things happen in baseball
Wilde - what im saying is that people are making it seem like that one call cost the twins and that one call made the twins lose, when it didnt. the twins had their chances to win this game in many other ways, but didnt.

Dude i could not agree with you more
its mad annoying like ooh tht one call was there only chance
not when the bases were loaded hahaha

Someone else said this earlier.. If I recall correctly, in the last series against the Red Sox the Yankees had the bases loaded and no outs. We got out of that inning without surrendering a run. People think loading the bases and having no outs equals automatic runs.. it doesn't. Players will work harder to avoid the other team from scoring.

There error wouldn't have won the game for the Twins it would have just given them a chance to face a red hot A-Rod and Teixeira hits a game tying HR.

actually it is very possible the whole entire game did depend on one call. Why the hell would you even refer to Joe Nathan (who sucks) in your comment. What happened previously in the game has no relevance to what happened in extra innings.

Lets review the inning. Mauer doubles, Kubel singles to right, Mauer to third. Cuddyer singles to center, 4-3 twins 1st and 2nd no out. Next guy bunts. 2nd and third 1 out. Squeeze bunt, 5-3 twins. Bottom of inning Teixiera homer. 5-4 Twins. A-rod walk. Matsui grounds into double play. Swisher hits triple. Cano singles in tying run 5-5. Game goes to 14th inning. Twins get a two run homer from Mauer lead 7-5. They win 7-5. This is one of many possible outcomes due to one changed call.

I agree with you about the bases loaded and not scoring but if the ump would have had that call right, Mauer would have scored. It was clearly fair. I blame Gomez and his base running and Nathan more than the ump but that was a terrible call. I'm a huge Twins fan and I'm not whining but I am still mad about the call because Mauer would have scored. He would have been on third instead of second when Cuddyer got a hit.
