Can the memory of a broken flash drive be removed?

My mom broke my flashdrive today. It has important documents on it and I was wondering if it was possible to remove the memory from the flashdrive, even though it's broken. I just want to ask b4 I go to geek squad. They want to charge me over $250 to remove it, the fifty dollars just to see the flashdrive. Speedy responses would be appreciated.

It depends how exactly it was broken, but unless the damage was very extreme it should be possible. If the connector has been snapped off, an electronics engineer or enthusiast should be able to put it back together. If the circuit board has been damaged but the flash chips are okay, it would be possible to swap the chips onto another identical flash drive. I doubt that Geek Squad would have the resources to do this, even if you paid them $250, though - know any electronics engineers?
