Yes, it can be unlocked someone i know unlocked with T Mobile although you have to be contract on less you loose most of the valued aspects of the Iphone e.g internet.
The screen is scrathproof i think because you can just feel with your fingers and nothing happens. It will cost a lot of money although my friends partner unlocked it!
