Before we even got engaged, my fiance got invited on a really neat weekend trip next summer. We got engaged and we ended up selecting that same weekend as an ideal wedding date. He said of course he would cancel the trip and we started planning the wedding that day instead. Then I started thinking--it really wouldn't make a difference to me if we postpone the wedding one week so he can go on the trip. It would be sort of a surprise for him. But then a bunch of people told me that it's not a good idea for him to be gone the weekend before the wedding anyway, especially since he's been the contact for the caterer and the bar. What do you think? Should I just move forward planning the wedding on that date so he'll miss the trip, or should I postpone the wedding and not worry if he's gone the weekend prior to the wedding? I haven't suggested it to him yet because every time I say something he says that I should only consider our wedding, not the trip.
PS: The trip is Friday night to Monday morning.
kill_yr_television -- hmm, that is actually a good point. The trip actually is in the middle of nowhere, but more to the point it's an active/wildernes trip. He definitely wouldn't be available by phone in other words, that's part of going on the trip. But do you think that's a problem?
