can the gm of a guild see who recruited who?

Unless there's an addon of somekind you can use to track who invited who to the guild etc, there's no way in the default WoW interface that can track who invited who I'm afraid.
 
I've got a guild of my own. I let one of Friends do the recruiting around so i check few times to make sure things go the right way. The way i check is look in the log at the guild info at the Guild tab most of the time it tells you who promoted what, who invites players.
 
I'm afraid not. However, the people you recruit may be able to inform the GM of who recruited them - and the GM may ask them as well. Happy recruiting :)
