I understand how to go about getting the Jirachi, but i was wondering if anyone knew if you need the national dex to get it. I am thinking about starting a new game and getting the jirachi immediately in order to make it a member of my "legitimate team". Could somebody please tell me if that would work or if it'd be a waste of time?
Can the current event Jirachi be obtained prior to recieving the national dex?
