Can the Bible keep up with time? Written so long ago, how can it apply to

the advancing world and technology? The men who wrote the Bible didn't foresee the internet or robots. How does the Bible, if LITERALLY taken, apply to the indeterminable future when there's so few words in it compared to the massive amount of time and technology having yet to take place before the end? (probable time, for you rapurists - yeah I made that word up)
