My husband is at BCT at FLW for the National Guard and he said he might get an article 15...(They mentioned it but they haven't said anything to him about it since apparantly..) I don't really know the details but I guess he made a HUGE woops and left his rifle in the bay....So can the army take his pay? If they can do they tell us first or do we just find out when payday comes and there's no money? Also I know they can possibly not allow him to participate in graduation or family day...Do they give us warning for this too? We are driving 9 hours to see him so it would SUCK to drive all the way there and then not even be able to see him!! Any info would be appreciated!!!!
How long after the offense do they usually tell you your punishment? He told me about it last Sunday but it happened a week prior to that....and he graduates next week....

Don't drive there. Depending on where he is in training, he might not be able to see you.
As far as the Article 15, probably not in Basic. Just a little fear goes a long way. Relax. As far as taking money, with an Article 15, yes they can take rank and money. They will let him know how much during the preceedings. The chance of him catching a Art.15 in basic is slim to none.

yes. you can be fined for article 15. you go see the CO, he b1tches you out and gives punishment. so you know right then whether you will be fined, or what.
