Im a little confused on the lytic vs. lysogenic cycle. I understand that temporate bacteriophages may go from the lysogenic cycle to the lytic cycle in rare cases (if damaged by UV,radiation, etc). However, I wanted to know if temporate bacteriophages may go from lytic to lysogenic cycle. Also, if a temporate bacteriphage leaves the lysogenic cycle, does the phage lose it's envelope, and does the cell that was undergoing the lysogenic cycle lyse?
