I had a MAJOR car accident 2 months ago. My power steering was going (it was a 95 V.W. Cabrio convertible 2 liter) and my car also had studded snow tires on it. I was on a wet road and the car skid (I was only going 40 mph), leaving me with no control of the vehicle. It hit something, rolled and eventually hit trees. Now, is it possible that the traction on the tires was not there? I had no money to switch out my tires and my parents would not help me (but they would help my sister and her car, spending thousands on struts/shocks, new transmission, etc.). Is it possible to prove to them that it was the tires?
To add: I was NOT tired when driving (indeed, I was singing along to the radio) and I knew that there was no puddle in sight that I could seen. Could have been small, but I skid anyhow.
