I read a book of short stories a long time ago and one of the stories was about this couple who died and went to hell, which is one endless freeway. They keep driving on and on running from the evil semi truck and eventually sacrifice themselves to save a child from the semi. Afterwards, they finally find an exit. Does anyone know what author/book this was in?
