Like the pay, benefits, what exactly it is you guys do, etc. I'm interested in joining but I have absolutely no idea what it's about. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. :)

The pay sucks it is like 400 a month and you have to be there when they tell you no matter what. My brother in law is in the reserves after leaving the Army full time. They take all of his check for child support, so he goes for free.

Call a Reserve Recruiter and a Guard Recruiter and see which one will give you the best MOS, commute, and benefits package. Both fundamentally are similar, you will do Basic and AIT (specific job) training for a few months on active duty and then come home and work one weekend a month and two weeks a year until your deployment rotation comes up, then you mobilize, train up for a couple months, and go to war and do your mission. Then you come home. Rinse and repeat.
