i sold a car that ran fine, to a guy. bill of sale says as is, he and his girl friend test drove it for approximately 30mins, and both agreed it rode great. he claimed 3 hours later that it broke down, i offered to pay towing fees which he declined, but i refused to give money back, now i have court on the 14th of this month. and he is suing me for over 3000 more dollars then he bought the car for. i still dont even know if the car really messed up. how can i defend myself?
also the title wasnt in my name but the owner was there during the selling process and we told the buyer if he needed another bill of sale we could rewrite one, i didnt have time to get the title in my name.
the guy also came back to my house with a few of his buddies, and i was going to give the money back until one of his friends hit me in the head and followed me into my house!
