I enjoyed studying in the 1.1 lab very much. First of all because I was working independently and this independence gave me the chance to concentrate more on what I was doing. Second because the teacher helped me out when I needed it. She explained to me step-by-step how to improve my work. Last because the teacher never permitted you to pass until you did the work correctly. That method was good because it gave me the chance to improve my writing skills and actually understand and focus on what I was doing.
What I learned from this course was how to improve my reading and writing skills. I learned that there are different types of essays. I learned how to write better, and read better. Mostly it was just writing and doing essays. It was worth it though, because I learned a lot from it and now I can read and write at my grade level.
Yes, I did receive all the help that I needed. When I did not understand something, the teacher was very helpful. She also recommended that I redo the work, which helped me understand the work I was doing, even if I did not want to. I think that if it weren’t for this class, I would never have improved my writing skill and I would still be at my same reading and writing level."
I would just like to say that what I learned here is going to help me out a lot when I take English tests. I am going to understand what I am reading, and I will know how to write a essay. I am really proud of myself, because not so long ago i had was more than 4 years behind in English and now I am at my grade level. So it was really worth it.
