University? Since ever I can remember, I used to play with numbers and shapes. When I started school I got to know them better, and understand the association and relationships between all of them, but I always imagined them as huge buildings, and I became interested in architectural engineering. On the other hand, when I moved to The United States of American 3 years ago, I had to know them in different names; which was not such a dilemma, because they are the same number and shapes that I used to put together and make something unique out of them. After moving into U.S, I had to experience and feel the difference, and I also had to learn. I experienced the difference in learning; I didn't just learn the materials that were taught in school; learned how to learn!
Through the path of my life, I learned to be independent and not just try but to also learn on my own. Independence and integrity are some of the most important concepts that I will carry throughout my entire professional and personal life. In addition, I always believed that problem-solving techniques are significant as well, because solutions are on top of any other concepts to accomplish a task. One of my dreams is to achieve buildings which can stand any “9/11’s” or any other disasters, and in order for me to achieve my goal, I have to attend the right college that will provide the best educational environment to learn how to accomplish and achieve these goals.
During my exploration in the major of engineering, I acknowledged many colleges, differences in engineering majors, requirements, and duties. Moreover, I learned that architectural engineering is the right future for me. Through even deeper exploration to discover my future, I went to colleges’ open-houses event, and I had many conversations with my school’s projects manager, Mr. Paul Schultz. He holds a Master Degree in Architectural Engineering from one of the best and well-known college in engineering, Drexel. Mr. Schultz helped me to understand more details about architectural engineering, and he assuredly confirmed that engineering is another field that requires problem-solving techniques to make the world a better place; and that’s my goal.
