elfen lied is the most furked up, but you've probably either seen it or heard of it.
Black lagoon has some extremely tragic wtf moments.
And if you haven't graced yourself with the disturbing presence of higurashi, go do so now

oh god i totally forgot about gantz....totally effed you will be so tripped ot over it lol in the first ep the main character only thinks about chicks,boobs, and sex and then gets his head sliced off after saving a drunk guy in front of a subway

I was about to recommend Monster but seems like u want wit supernatural genre... But do check this anime out if u r up wit some good mystery, psychological, thriller anime that dun have horror. the protagonist is a very kind person for goodness sake. no, there is no messed up anime. this is a masterpiece. the story line, and also the character development...it's work of a genius,

some messed up anime i kno are elfen lied and that higurashi anime... why it's so messed up? well, most of them bcoz of the gruesome killing...and the characters are also messed up..

other messed up anime but without the gruesome murder: Jigoku Shojo. Dark theme anime about the darkness of human nature. The story are all the same, and repetitive. To put it's simple, each ep features a person wit intense hate towards someone, so he/she gets a visit from Hell girl who can sent people to hell, wit his/her soul as a return. one of the famous quote: "When one person is cursed two graves are dug."
