cigar lounge? I have the marketing concept and locations in mind for a new luxury class cigar lounge business.

Seeking info, costs for startup and investors. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Go to http://www.score.org/template_gallery.html and download the Excel template for estimating start up costs.

No lender or investor will talk to you unless you provide them with a valid business plan. Go to http://www.sba.gov , http://www.score.org or http://www.bplan.com for sample business plans and instructions on how to write a business plan.

Then, go to http://www.score.org/ and in the upper left hand corner, enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information on the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a SCORE counselor to review your business plan and discuss various loan options available to you.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

SCORE has 389 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 10,500 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business counselors.

Good luck.As much as I like to see a new cigar lounge, you are looking at a long uphill struggle. The market is out there BUT it is still a luxury/unproven market.Do you have a plan for cigars to keep in stock?Liquor-beer lic?Location,Advertising? What the market is?I have wanted to do this for many years.I used to own a live music venue, full bar, live local, regional and national music.I sold cigars(cigar girls)I would almost venture into that again over the cigar bar because I know I could make money.I love cigars,I always point out what is missing at my locals but could never find it feasible to start my own.Good luck and email me with your plans.I would love to give you my input and experiences.
