Row 1 is done and went as follows: Sc in second ch from hook, (ch 5, skip next 3 chs, sc in next ch) twice, skip next ch, 5 dc in next ch (shell made), skip next ch, sc in next ch. *(ch 5, skip next 3 chs, sc in next ch) 3 times, skip next ch, work shell in next ch, skip next ch, sc in next ch; repeat from * across to last 8 chs, (ch 5 , skip next 3 chs, sc in next ch) twice: 9 shells.
Now the next row is where I am confused because it refers to loops and I'm not sure what this means it is supposed to create a diamond pattern eventually. Row 2: Ch 5, turn; sc in first loop, ch 5, sc in next loop, work shell in next sc, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc, work shell in next sc, sc in next loop, * (ch 5, sc in next loop) twice, work shell in next sc, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc, work shell in next sc, sc in next loop; repeat from * across to last loop, ch 5, sc in last loop, ch 2, dc in last sc: 18 shells.
So I've done the ch 5 But where does the first sc go in the middle of the chain 5 which makes up the loop or does it go in the first or last sc of the the chain 5? I've looked at the finished product picture but it's hard to see the exact pattern look. Any advice would be very helpful!
