Can someone help with fuel guage and speedometer problem on chevy s10?

I have an 87 Chevy s10 and the fuel guage and speedometer dont work. Can someone help me out with figuring out why they dont work, how to fix myself, how much would it cost to get it fixed at a shop, and/or cost of parts?
