This is what the letter said: "We reviewed your application for financial aid and have determined that you have exhausted your eligibility for funding. Your academic transcript indicates that you have attempted the maximum number of credits allowed under our Satisfactory Progress Criteria or you have completed your degree."
I have not finished my degree in my last school I probably had about a year left or maybe more. I dropped out to help my parents because I started to work to help them when bills etc. At that point it was too much for me.
It goes on saying, "If you have extenuating circumstances that you feel caused the excessive credit accumulation, you may appeal in writing to state your situation. Please include a curriculum guide completed by your advisor."
This is not from the same school I use to go to. It's another school I'm trying to attend. Just in case. What should I say? Any help/ideas are appreciated. Financial aid is my only choice right now.
I was going for an associates degree. On my transcript it says I have done 36 credits. Shouldn't I still qualify?
Too the second response. I am not illiterate I know what MAXIMUM is you don't have to amplify it.
I'm sorry that was an error it says I've applied only 24 credits not 36. Also this is an community college I'm trying to attend. I'm just going for a certificate.
