Tired of Listening

I have an acer travelmate 6292...and there is a button with the bluetooth symbol on it.
I wanted to transfer some photos from my Samsung phone...I have no idea what model it is...
I turned on the bluetooth on my phone...then proceeded to turn the bluetooth on my computer. I pressed the button...and nothing happened. There is a little light that i assume should have turned on but it didn't.
I tried to turn it on through device manager but can't find anything blue-tooth
Any ideas?
