My 2 yr old male Shih Tzu gets a black substance on his skin in the chest/armpit area. It sometimes gets thick like a scab. At first I thought it was dirt. Then I found a thick spot, and thought it was some kind of wound. In all my years with dogs, I never saw this before. And I'm pretty well versed on dogs. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
Can someone help with a possible skin condition?
