Ok little bit about myself. I am 21 and used to be in great shape worked out 6 days a week, 196 lb at 6% body fat. Also on top of that i smoked, drank, and used recreational drugs but no problems whatsoever always felt healthy.
About a year ago April 2009. i was at the gym working out and i had my regular Speed Stack energy drink and out of nowhere after drinking it, something like hit me. I felt chest discomfort, tingiling in left arm, and sudden darkening in my eyes like foggy feeling. So it went on for about 20 min and i decided to go to ER. Everything came back normal there, no problems so that was a relief. Next day i was fine but i noticed that when i smoked a cigarrete i felt kind of light headed and weird. After about a week or so i started getting the same feeling i had at the gym whenever i smoked, drank alcohol, or used any stimulats, like caffeine, energy drinks, cocaine. Eventually i quit everything, but still worked out. then August 2009 i had sudden onset of the feelings lightheaded, foggy, chest pressure, like im about to just fall over and die. i wasn't even doing anything strenuous i was just at the mall getting some new clothes. the difference this time was it never went away and up to this day i feel foggy, have difficulty thinking, lightheaded, head pressure, chest pressure, and weakness. i had to stop working out and have lost over 30lb, my hair started to go about two months ago i just feel like crap all the time, any type of stimulation makes me feel a lot worse. It seems like my body is so weak that it barely makes through the day.
I had multiple EKG's, stress test, holter monitor, CAT scan, blood works, upper colonoscopy, and was put on different anxiety meds but nothing heped and my doc is clueless. I just made an app with a neurologist hoping to get some answer.
Sorry for the very long and specific post. Please anyone who had anything similar, or has any input on this help! I can't go on living like this, i cant even make future plans its so excruciating.
thanks in advance.

Hey sergy. I am 40 years old and a personal trainer... I have doin all the things that you have done as far as your partying goes... I have since quit sometime ago but that is the first step. Your diet is everything you are today and everything you will be tomorrow. Your body is like an engine in a race car. An engine can't run on beer, cigarettes and whatever else... It just does not work that way. As you have found out.
The good news is that I have taken all these tests before and everything has checked out ok. After you quit all the bad habits, you have to ease into your workout or you body will freak. Sometimes it freaks without a proper warm up or cool down. Proper warm ups are so vital to working out as well as stretching. I have seen guys not warm up and stretch and go out and work-out like a wild man and wind up lightheaded/ chest pains/tingly feelings/ ears plugged/ etc...
Try to get back in tune with your body. You probably are having anxiety about all of this. I had anxiety at first but I now ease into my workouts instead of jumping into it head first. Remember your body is also dealing with coming off of all the substances you have been putting into your system. Hope this helps... I have been there before....

Thanks man! I appreciate your input, but the thing is Ive been off the substances for like 6 months now and when the last time i tried working out I was taking it easy. I started by stretching and then fast walking to jogging. After about 3 minutes of jogging, that was it I couldn't do it anymore. Overall daily I don't feel well enough to go to the gym. How did you approach your problem? what kinds of things did you do to feel better? And again thanks a lot.

Dear sergy,

I have head pressure and weakness, it started off as mostly just head/neck pressure (but constant) and then as the years went by other symptoms such as weakness and fatigue came around. The worst of my symptoms by far is the constant head pressure, and that's the cause of my brain fog.

My head pressure started after going through drug addiction, which seems to point to a similar origin for you as well.

Let me know if you find anything that relieves your head pressure. By the way, is it constant for you as well?

Yes, I do feel head pressure every day. The minute I wake up I feel it and up untill I go to sleep. However I developed these symptoms while I still was doing all those things and the symptoms were actually the reason I quit. Anyway if I find anything Ill let you know.

Hey Serg... and Benit

I have gone through the very same thing. I have done my share of over the years and I really feel it some days especially when I exercise and try to hit the gym. Some days are good and some are bad. Just take it one day at a time. I was on ritilan and adderall for years and it wrecked my life.
