I asked this already but,
I remember this book I read, where the narrator talks about how society is at a downfall. The beginning of it is about his depression & despair.
There's this scene in the book where the narrator meets old friends at a restraunt. At the restraunt the narrator talks about how he gets frustrated, leaves the dinner table, and starts pacing back & fourth a distance away from his friends, describing how he doesn't fit in with his colleagues. Another part of the book discusses how the narrator meets a young girl, and befriends her, but she ends up being a prostitute (pretty sure) I would really appreciate anyone who could help me find out the title & author of this novel, thank you
