Can someone give me a step by step process on how to write a ska song?

I'm not a beginner or anything so feel free to use more complex terms and ideas. My band and I already have some lyrics.
we're a 3 man group. Guitarist (me), Drummer, Bassist/Vocalist. We might feature some horns in a couple songs so go ahead and tell me about the horns. We looking to be a lighter/a bit slower ska band.
 
How many piece band are you referring to? It makes a big difference.

First things first though, since ska is really rhythm oriented, get a very solid drum beat down to work from.
