Can somebody help me with my Sony Vaio?

When I start it up, it goes to the screen where it gives me the option to boot normally or in safe mode. If I choose either, it starts up normally. But then stays a black screen right before the login screen. If you leave it running, it will crash with the blue screen of death. The information it gives me is: STOP: 0x000000F4 (0x8CBC7020, 0x8CBC716C, 0x834734F0). Is this fixable without taking it to tech support?
