Can my choir teacher make me be a Tenor? I'm not looking to be a tenor, to be honest I am a countertenor... I can sing really high for a 15 year old boy, and pretty low, but I don't care to use the lower half of my range.. I don't particularly like it either..
I think she's sexist. Because my friend, who is a girl, has a low voice for a female, and she won't let her be a Tenor, though that's the range she sings most comfortable in.. I'd sing alto, though I can sing soprano range...but she won't let me...
I just don't think i sound good, or have great pitch when singing that low, I sorta just pretend that I am singing the right notes by listening around me. I also can't read Bass Clef music, and it's BORING. What can I do?
Should I ask her to show me how to do the exorcises on my own, and try to train myself independently? Please help!!
