Can she do this? (confidentality, mental health)?

As part of my Care Plan I have been writting daily diary entries which I allow my key worker to see when i see her once a fortnight.

Recently I have written about suicidal feelings etc.

I am 22 and live at home. I know that if you are deemed a risk to yourself your next of kin can be made aware of this as a precaution to keep you safe...however in order to do this my keyworker said (or what i felt like was a threat) that perhaps my mum should read my diary and was basically suggesting that she was going to allow my mum to read it.

Is this against the rules of confidentiality...because fair enough if she has to tell my parents i am at risk but is it not completely innapropriate to actually divulge information shared between key worker and client and certainly diary entries!

I really need someone who definately knows where I stand with this.

Thanks
