I am 35 weeks pregnant and my husband and I had sex this morning. Afterwards, I began cramping up and my stomach got really tight all over, similar to the BH contractions I have been experiencing throughout the pregnancy, but these were a little tighter and occurred about every 2 minutes. The contractions/tightness/cramping lasted about an hour and a half and have not occurred again for about 3 hours but I keep getting shooting pains into my pelvic region and even whatg feels like shooting pains in my vagina. The last time I cramped after sex my stomach was tight the whole time for about 15-20 min, but nothing like this. Baby is moving and kicking like usual, no irregular patterns, no bleeding or irregular discharge. My last doc appnt was yesterday and the baby is head down according to my doctor. Has anyone else experienced contractions after sex like what I described? Is it safe to keep having sex this late in the pregnancy? Thanks ladies!
