I went to the doctor for chest pains and he did a blood test. He said I may need a sickle cell test based on something he seen with routine blood test. He also said my chest pains may be coming from a problem with sickle cell disease, causing chest wall pain. Can something in routine blood test suggest I may have sickle cell anemia?
