We had the brakes and rotators replaced in Feb of 2008, the brakes are needed again and the rotates are curve they need to be shaved but i am not sure if they can people have been telling me over the phone that it can't be done that they might be to thin.

there is a minimal thickness on all rotors. if the rotors are brand new then they should b able to b turned (shaved) to a smooth surface.

if something happened and there is a deep place in ur rotor then u might have to replace them again cause the rotor has just become a safety hazard and might break taking away ur brakes and possibly ur suspension as well.

my advice find another mechanic shop and get a second opinion on the minimal thickness on your brakes. if they tell u the same thing then chances are your rotors need to be replaced again

If the rotors aren't too bad they can be turned, just have to keep them within spec. The mechanics should know. If they were replaced in Feb.
I am extremely surprised they are in need of replacement. Pads should last a few years. Go easy on the braking!

I hope you are not at the same place as the last replacement.

I think your first question here should be "Why do I need brakes so

soon" ? Yes, you may be riding the brakes but 9 months later ?

Guilty of riding brakes or not, something isn't right here and I would

find out why, just for starters ! Get some answers before you

get ripped off.

That's my take on it...
