Can RCMP officers become lawyers?

I would like to become a RCMP officer and i heard from a friend of mine that when you are in the RCMP you can wright the LCAT exam and if you get a mark that the university is looking for that they will accept you. And this is without a degree or anything, just police officer + lcat = law school? If not is there anyway that a police officer can become a lawyer if s/he want to further his/her 's career?
