Hello..
My dog, Tizzy is absolutely crazy. and I just wondered... do you think it is possible for pets to have Mental Disabilities like Humans?
Tizzy would have her usual 'Mad Half Hour' as a puppy and she is now 7 and she can be snoozing and then all of a sudden she will just wake up and lunge herself at the sofa/chair/person. She runs around in circles chasing her tail for like 20 mins none stop.
She starts howling at Corrie Theme Tune and yet Emmerdale she just watches TV, her head twitches. She chronically barks at any Cat Advert such as Felix or Whiskers and whimpers when programs like The Dog Whisperer come on. When music is playing she will bark at classical music and howl at rock. Yet if you play country she runs and hides behind the sofa.
Sometimes she is all excited and bouncing everywhere and other times she is depressed and won't eat her favourite food for 3 days.
Has my Dog got some sort of Biplolar Disorder??? Is there such a thing in animals? Tizzy is a Yorkshire Terrier by the way.
Thank you. (And no. I am not trolling. This really does happen).
