Can people still see what you've been on when you delete browsing history?

My mom is convinced I'm chatting to some weird old paedophile on the internet and now she's talking about getting my dad to check what I've been on tonight. I deleted the browsing history but will he still be able to see the things? In what way? Can I prevent it?
oh and he's like a computer whiz

No you cant prevent it, you can delete the browsing history but if you know what you are doing you can still find what you have ben browsing - your mum must have a reason to think you were browsing or chatting to someone? the settings button usually at the right of your computer will delete the browsing history but on the browser bar where it says History it shows the recent browsing but you can look for all browsing in that - go into it and delete them individually.

well the main answer to your question is no, as long as you have deleted all browsing history!

2: as long as you haven't been talking to anyone on any chatroom that you shouldn't be talking to...then you really should NEVER delete your browsing history. it makes you look guilty, and always make's them suspicious, sweetie!

Yes, whenever you visit a website it becomes cached on your computer.

The method is slightly different depending on what browser you use, but you will also need to go to Internet Options and delete both your cookies and temporary internet files.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to right click your (C:) drive (under My Computer) and click Properties. Then click "disk cleanup" and remove all web related files.

Next, flush your DNS. I'm assuming you don't know how to do this, so here are instructions if you are using Windows:

- Go to the start menu
- Click run
- Type "command"
- Hit enter.
- A black box will pop up. Yay.
- In this black box type "ipconfig /flushdns".
- Hit enter.
- It will say "Successfully flushed DNS resolver cache".

Finally, talking to weird pedos on the internet is something you should probably avoid doing.
