Can paint fumes be toxic to dogs?

This subject was touched on last year and had zero correct answers and very bad advice. KNOW THIS: Paints and finishes release low level toxic emissions into the air for years after application. Six or more years even. The fumes and lead are just the tip of the ice berg. Paint has over 300 toxic chemicals and 150 carcinogens may be found in your paint. Source: Johns Hopkins University. These include formaldehyde, toluene (damages heart and kidneys), benzene, ammonia, ethanol, kerosene, plastics, glycols. Do a search on non-toxic paints. Low VOC paint is the new rage but even those still contain toxins and chemicals. Do your research.
 
yes they kill off their brain cells just like us humans, but for some reason it's more harmful to dogs long term and can also dry up their noses and cause irritation and loss of sense of smell.
