I am pursuing my associate's degree in nursing from a proprietary school as that's the fastest option for me & I'm in a very difficult situation. My husband walked out on us, and I have an extra $13,000.00 in loans I am eligible for but my school is refusing to allow me extra funding and telling me that it's up to them for me to receive any extra money for living expenses for the 11 months it's going to take to finish my degree. Are they allowed to do this?
