can my ps3 ethernet cable work with my ps2?

i have a ps3 Ethernet cable and i was wondering can i use it on my ps2 as well?
 
For the 1st guy...youre a noob (no offense)

All Ethernet cords are the same in size no matter what. If it's an Ethernet, it's an Ethernet.

So yea, you can use your PS3 one with a PS2 one...or a PC one with a PS3/PS2. A 360 one with a router etc. All Ethernets will fit.
