Can my fiance bring DVD's onboard international flight?

My fiance's from England and he has DVD's, a PS2, games and cd's and wants to bring them with him for when he moves here to be a US immigrant. He has no pirated cd's or Dvd's, so if he's allowed, is there a proper procedure that he must do to ensure no problems will occur?
