Can my employer make me retake an employment test?

The company that I work for makes everyone take a test over company policy and such before they are hired. If you dont pass the test, you arent hired. When I was hired, I took this test and got an 94 (80% was passing).

This was 9 months ago. Now, the company has been firing numerous employees over minor issues. Obviously playing favorites to employees that are friends with people in management. They now tell us that everyone will have to take this test again, and if you dont pass, you are fired?

Is this legal? It would seem that all this test is about is an excuse to fire employees. Passing the test doesn't gain you anything, such as a promotion or bonus, but failing it results in firing.
 
your boss does this because he doesn't have money to pay the employees anymore so he makes you do the test and then for a minor mistake he fires you but it is legal
