I filed a workers' comp claim recently and I did everything they asked in terms of their drug test, which I passed and filled out their company packet for workers' comp. I was told initially by HR that once a doctor clears me (which they did) and I pass a drug test (which I did) that I would be cleared to go back to work.
Now, I've been placed on unpaid administrative leave for 5 to 10 days from work pending an investigation. Is this legal? Can I file for EDD to at least get some money since I need it to pay bills? Also, if my boss and another person was involved since they neglected to send me to a hospital that same day that I was injured at work, should they be placed on unpaid administrative leave?
